ECHO is adding to our IT Department! This position will be based in Lake Zurich, IL but will have some flexibility to work from home a few days a week!
We are seeking a Senior Developer - Enterprise Applications, who will be in charge of analyzing, designing, and implementing complex ERP systems and growing list of both on-premises and cloud applications.
The salary range for this position is $110,000-$130,000 based on experience and qualifications.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Project Manager, Business Analysts, and users to understand requirements and design systems.
- Develop work plans for design, construction, and implementation phases of application development projects.
- Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance and system performance.
- Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications.
- Support IBM iSeries and interfaced applications to ensure efficient, uninterrupted operation of the system.
- Oversee application troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Develop unit and system testing plans.
- Plan and implement mass-data conversions.
- Participate in developing user training material.
- Enterprise application environment includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Infor XA 9.2(MAPICS) and custom developed enhancements (ERP).
- Infor WMS (warehouse management)
- OpenText TLi EDI
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (financials)
- TIBCO Cloud Integration
- Avalara – AvaTax
- Secure FTP
- Mentor team members expressing new technologies, best practices, and coding techniques.
- Evaluate new technologies and how to utilize them to make processes more efficient.
- Capture, mitigate and /or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
Job Experience/Skills:
- This position involves hands-on application development, including RPG and SQL coding.
- Experience developing custom features with RPG in an Infor XA ERP environment.
- Familiarity with OpenText TLi EDI tools.
- Preferred experience in creating web services and/or working with APIs (REST, SOAP, Metadata, etc.).
- Proficiency in analyzing and debugging production issues and providing user support.
- Expertise in IBM iSeries query design and debugging.
- A demonstrated ability to independently acquire technical skills through reading and attending seminars.
- Strong skills in interpreting user requirements to develop effective and efficient software solutions.
- Self-motivation, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- The ability to act as a liaison between the user community and the I.T. department.
- Critical thinking skills to develop practical solutions.
- A willingness to occasionally work outside normal business hours.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant work experience.
