We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This role is crucial in ensuring that our projects are accurately priced and managed from the initial bid through to completion. The Construction Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality estimates that align with project goals.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
- Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work and required resources.
- Utilize estimating software Trimble Business Center
- Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and timelines for construction projects.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information for accurate estimating.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Provide support in resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise during the construction phase.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is required.
- Strong understanding of cost control principles and contract negotiation techniques.
- Proficiency in using estimating software, particularly Trimble Business or similar tools.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction management practices and building processes.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in pricing estimates.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
