Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive estimates and budgets ranging from \(1M to \)5M, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Collaborate closely with our pre-construction team to compile vendor and subcontractor proposals, clarify project scopes, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals.
- Maintain financial oversight to ensure proposals align with target gross margins while preserving profitability during the buyout phase.
- Remain informed about industry standards and compliance requirements, ensuring that all estimates satisfy design and operational needs.
- Conduct both on-site and digital takeoffs, while effectively managing project contacts and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Act as a representative at client meetings, site visits, and project kick-off events, promoting client satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in estimating or pre-construction, preferably within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong background as a general contractor or subcontractor; experience in hotel construction or tenant improvements is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Finance, Business Management, or an equivalent field of study.
- Proficiency in estimating and project management software, alongside advanced skills in Microsoft 365.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to manage complex processes accurately and perform well under pressure.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for site visits and client engagements.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
