EchoStar Program Director - Aviation EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Program Director - Aviation in our Hughes Network Systems division. Hughes is a leading provider of satellite and managed network services, utilizing innovative network technologies and solutions to serve mobility, enterprises, and governments globally. This role will lead development, launch, and service delivery phases of large aviation programs. It will cross-functional teams to deliver and manage major accounts, drive growth across the aviation business, and support Hughes’ customers throughout the contract lifecycle.This position will be located at either our Germantown, MD or Lisle, IL office.Responsibilities : Lead the overall relationship with airline customers, airframe manufacturers, and major accounts throughout the contract lifecycle.Build customer intimacy and deliver flawless customer service by maintaining crisp communication, driving issue resolution, and conducting regular check-ins.Be the customer champion, and ensure all customer requirements are captured and managed within the scope of internal and third-party supplier teams.Identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to establish best practices within the organization.Lead program review meetings, coordination meetings, and workshops with customers, airframe manufacturers, and partners.Manage P / L for each individual program with a goal to maximize program results (delivery, margin) and achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.Work with supply chain to ensure smooth, on-time production deliveries to customers.Work to minimize impact of AOG events, enabling a customer-first mentality to achieve optimal outcomes.Work with MROs and customer organizations to ensure smooth installation of delivered products.Ensure Hughes delivers against all committed SLAs. Work with quality, engineering, supplier organizations, and customer stakeholders to oversee solution performance and reliability.Participate in regular status reviews with Hughes senior management and customers to ensure successful implementation and timely resolution of issues.Basic Requirements : Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field10 years of related work experience8 years of experience in commercial aviation.This position requires travel up to 25%.Preferred Qualifications : Master’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.Knowledge of all phases of the aviation product lifecycle, including design, development, testing, certification, production, maintenance, and support.Experience working at an in-flight entertainment or in-flight connectivity services provider.Experience working with the FAA or other aerospace regulatory bodies.Ability to influence a variety of stakeholders to establish concurrence.Excellent communication and presentation skills combined with the ability to effectively interact with different levels of the customer and internal organization.Ability to synthesize multiple requirements and create smart, cogent solutions to complex problems.Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.#J-18808-Ljbffr
