Description
ECI Group is currently recruiting a Senior Construction Estimator. The Senior Construction Estimator is responsible for the development of pricing/cost for conceptual and new construction projects post award through completion. This individual must be able to identify cost risk and produce complex and accurate estimates. Must perform and be responsible for advanced technical, administrative, coordination, planning, development of annual Preconstruction budget and, assist with assemblance of GMP contracts. The Senior Construction Estimator will train and build efficient an effective Preconstruction and estimating department by mentoring, team structure, and ensure project quality standards and efficient delivery of work products are achieved. This will be accomplished by employing best practices and possessing a complete and full understanding of all corporate policies, ensuring application of staff’s familiarity, awareness, techniques, and critical thinking skills.

What You’ll Do
Manages the preconstruction development cycle from conceptual design to permit for construction plans, providing input relating to cost analysis, constructability, potential schedule impacts, and value-engineering opportunities.
Review of project plans, requirements, and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project.
Oversees the quantitative take-off process to ensure accuracy and completeness of each plan development cycle.
Manages the development of each scope of work to deliver comprehensiveness and thoroughness thereby eliminating scope gap and scope overlap.
Oversees the subcontractor and vendor solicitation of bids to ensure complete scope and pricing-balanced coverage of the project scopes.
Leads and manages communication and presentations with Owner and Design Team.
Develops and maintains good working relationships with Owner, development partners, architects, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, manufactures, and other project specialists and team members to achieve project goals.
Organizes project-related tasks with key contributors to ensure adherence to project goal.
Properly tracks and accounts for changes in pricing and scope during plan development process.
Consistently meets pricing deadlines.
Manages team production rates based on workload.
Delivers complete turnover package to Project Manager.
Ensure team maintains project finish tracker.
Mentor and develop team members.
Oversee and manage estimating software.
Builds and manages the invite to bid (ITB) platform and process, including but not limited to invites, bidding documents, pricing documents, scope documents, etc.
Other tasks assigned by your supervisor, not listed as essential job functions.
Requirements
What You’ll Need
Minimum 5 years of experience in Preconstruction/Estimating related work is required.
Must be proficient in computer software to include Word, Excel, ProCore, OST, Siteworx OX, Builder Connected, Blue Beam, Plan Grid, Smart Bid, Destini or equivalent, Microsoft Teams, email, and other relevant applications as required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate or bachelor’s Degree in a relevant branch of study is a plus, but not a requirement.
Ability to interact well with co-workers, supervisors, guests, vendors, contractors, and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.
Above average organizational and verbal skills.
Ability to accurately perform advanced mathematical functions.
Strong customer service skills.
