Our Assertive Community Treatment program is short term assistance aimed at helping clients stay on track to reach their goals while staying in the community.
Job Scope: The ACT Supervisor leads the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program by overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to clients. They provide direct clinical services, monitor client progress, and ensure adherence to program standards while driving continuous improvement. Additionally, the supervisor manages client admissions, ensures 24-hour program coverage, and offers backup support to staff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership/clinical consultation and assistance to ACT Program staff
- Interviews, trains, supervises and evaluates ACT Program staff
- Provides a full range of clinical services including assessment, therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, treatment planning, case management, community support, community support team, medication monitoring and training, consultation and rehabilitative services
- Manages ACT admission and manages referrals and waitlist
- Monitor and maintain productivity goals of staff and will review/complete needed assessment and treatment planning for ACT clients
- Manages data collection activities, monitors program outcomes and fidelity requirements.
- Ensures 24-hour coverage in ACT program. Provides back up to full and part-time staff for coverage and consultation
Performance Requirements
- Active in program development and design of activities.
- Supervising and evaluating clinical staff and programs.
- Providing full range of clinical services including assessment, counseling, and rehabilitative services.
- Developing an individual treatment plan that addresses clinical needs and reflects client concerns and input.
- Establishing rapport and maintaining supportive contact with clients.
- Assessing and counseling clients in psychiatric crises and activating emergency procedures as appropriate.
- Knowledge of human development across the life cycle as applicable to the clinical population served.
Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree and valid clinical license in human services field preferred (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT)
- Minimum of three years clinical experience, five years preferred
- Minimum of two years supervisory/administrative experience
- Valid Illinois driver’s license, insurance and automobile and a willingness to routinely transport clients
- Ability to administer CPR
Schedule
- Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm (40 hours a week).
- Must be willing work a flexible schedule in response to the needs of the target population served, including evening and weekend hours as needed for coverage and supervisory activities.
