What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Legal Assistant position at Eckert Seamans?
Eckert Seamans is a full-service national law firm with a strong reputation and history of success that spans more than 65 years. With approximately 300 lawyers across a network of 15 offices, we provide clients with proactive, solution-oriented business and litigation counsel. We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for our Wilmington, DE office.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Preparation of legal documents such as letters, correspondence, briefs, and pleadings
- General utilization and submission of clerical and administrative forms such as check requests and expense reports
- Coordination of conference calls, video conferences and other interpersonal communication as requested.
- Preparation of mailings
- Coordination of large-scale document jobs with Office Services
- As requested per attorney daily monitoring of deadlines, calendars, voicemails, answering of phone
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and provide trial support as requested
- Maintain client files
- Copying and scanning of documents
- Open and closing of client matters
- Provide general assistance firmwide as a member of the legal support team as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
