Dental Professional Coordinator/Dental Events Coordinator
12 months
Monday - Friday normal business hours
30 hours a week; however, there is a 1499-hour max for the year
Location: Hybrid travel around Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas
Key Requirements:
- Travel: Candidates must be willing and able to travel extensively throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
- This includes the ability to stay overnight for 2-7 days per month.
- It also includes the ability to travel on 2 weekends per month.
- Van Operations: Candidates need to understand they will be working from a mobile van
- Laptop: Candidates must provide their own laptop for work.
- Expenses: Candidates must be comfortable using their own credit/debit card for work-related purchases and providing receipts for reimbursement.
- Event planning experience is a plus.
Job Description: The Dental Professional Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the day-to-day activities of the client's program on the mobile unit and virtually (virtual classroom engagement). This includes scheduling and confirming visits, recruiting dental volunteers, reporting progress, and maintaining relations with local community organizations.
Specific responsibilities to follow below.
● Identify, organize, schedule, and confirm Virtual Van Visits and On-Site Visits with community-based organizations, schools, churches, civic, professional, social organizations, retail locations etc.
● Interface, and act as program liaison, with persons from various backgrounds and disciplines. This includes local community groups, professional organizations, public health officials, business leaders and others to inform and generate support for the program.
● Work with van driver, coordinators, and other dental professionals
● Organize appropriate educational materials, along with tray set-ups, sterilization and audiovisual
● Recruit program dental and non-dental volunteers for van screenings
● Monitor progress of the program locally. Record, tabulate, and submit, upload results and findings to the program website (program Command Center) and complete appropriate program forms required from site visits; and parents of children who participate
● Physical ability to work around small children.
● Orient and assist volunteer dental professionals
● Recording screening results
● Manage follow-up program for children who require treatment referral
● Must be able to lift, bend, pull, push stand, and assist with equipment set up and break down as needed, up to 25 pounds at a time
● Must be able to wear personal protective equipment whilst aboard mobile van
● Must be able to remain in a stationary/standing position 85% of the time.
● Must be able to work in outdoor conditions
● Must be able to climb stairs, walk, squat, or kneel for periods at a time
Skills/Experience:
● Understanding of logistics and event coordination
● Ability to travel 1 week per month/2 weekends per month
● Excellent communication skills
● Strong commitment to promote health and help others
● Prior experience in community programs
● Office management and computer skills/Google Suite
