Consultant - Store Operations & Catalog Management

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to manage the day-to-day operations of e-commerce store (Retail/Fashion preferred), including catalog management, SKU setup, project management, and customer service. This role will be responsible for overseeing product listings, ensuring accurate inventory management, managing customer relationships, and leading various e-commerce projects to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • E-commerce Store Operations:
    • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the e-commerce store, ensuring smooth functionality across various platforms.
    • Monitor product availability, pricing accuracy, and promotional updates.
    • Manage product data, ensuring all items are listed with correct descriptions, images, and specifications.
    • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and fulfillment teams to ensure the website is always up-to-date with relevant content and promotions.
  • Catalog Management, SKU Setup and Inventory Management:
    • Develop, organize, and maintain the product catalog to ensure all products are correctly categorized, priced, and featured.
    • Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate product data, including images, pricing, and specifications.
    • Regularly audit the catalog to remove discontinued or outdated products and add new inventory.
    • Implement and manage product variants (size, color, etc.) for a seamless customer shopping experience.
    • Oversee the setup of new SKUs in the system and ensure accurate inventory management.
    • Monitor stock levels, reorder products in a timely manner, and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
    • Work with the procurement team to ensure stock levels align with demand forecasts.
    • Manage SKU attributes, including pricing, product details, and sales trends, to ensure an optimized product offering.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage various e-commerce projects, such as product launches, platform updates, or system integrations.
    • Develop project timelines, set deadlines, and ensure projects are completed within scope and on time.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (marketing, IT, operations, etc.) to ensure project success.
    • Conduct regular project reviews and communicate progress to senior management.
  • Customer Management:
    • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to customer inquiries, issues, and returns via email, chat, and phone.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and resolving issues effectively.
    • Manage and track customer feedback to improve the e-commerce experience and product offerings.
    • Implement customer loyalty programs, promotional offers, and improve the overall shopping experience.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Monitor key performance metrics (e.g., sales, traffic, inventory levels) and provide actionable insights.
    • Generate regular reports on product performance, inventory levels, and customer feedback.
    • Use data to inform decision-making and optimize e-commerce strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date on e-commerce industry trends, technology, and best practices.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
    • Work with the IT and marketing teams to integrate new technologies and tools that can optimize the store's operations.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of proven experience in retail, fashion, or eCommerce industries, with a focus on store operations and catalogue management.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (e.g. SFCC, Shopify, Magento, Informatica 360) and PIM systems (e.g., Salsify, Akeneo, inRiver).
  • Demonstrated track record of driving operational efficiency, managing product catalogues, and implementing process optimizations and automation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to make data-driven improvements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure high-quality execution across all operational and catalogue management processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams toward achieving strategic goals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expertise in driving data analysis, reporting tools, and automation platforms
  • Focus on accuracy, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement.
