The Construction Inspector is expected to interpret plans and specifications relating to various projects and ensure that the construction is in accordance to plans and specifications. Monitors daily on-site construction progress and prepares and submits daily quality assurance reports concerning the construction contractor's performance relative to the approved quality control plan and safety plan. Typical projects include electrical and civil engineering construction associated with roads, bridges, pump stations and generators.
Inspector with the following qualifications :
- High school diploma with either 2 years of post-high school construction related training, 3 years of related experience.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office software including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS
- Outlook (for email) and digital camera downloading software
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawing and specifications
- Contact information from three previous employment references regarding :
- Reliability and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of team
- Observation and documentation skills
- Communication skills both oral and written in English
- Calm under stress or when encountering other's aggressive behavior
- Ability to read and comprehend mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural drawings and specifications
