Job summary
Manages all aspects of Human Resources including hiring and retention, employee relations, benefits, compliance, health and safety. Supports Management with employee supervision, evaluation, training, and mediation. HR must be aware of local state, and federal employment guidelines, manage issues pertaining to employee wages, maintain employee personnel records, manage insurance and other benefits, and assist employees in understanding policies and procedures. The purpose of the position is to ensure all employees are productive and company complies with legal regulations.
Essential job functions
Hiring process: Manages hiring process including working with Management on details and needs, posting positions, searching resumes, conducting interviews, completing offer letters, background process, and conducting new hire orientations.
Employee relations: Supports Manager in all aspects of employee relations including performance reviews, discipline, development, training, promotions, and terminations. Mediates and supports Management and employees during conflict resolution, and manages all personnel files.
Benefits: Works with ADP TotalSource PEO Facilitating plan design and open enrollment meetings.
Compliance: Manages the AAP/EEO yearly report, e-verify, ensures postings and policies meet federal and state regulations. Updates and oversees new hire binder and policies. Ensures proper record keeping with regards to Worker's Compensation, health insurance, medical insurance, and other state and government regulations.
Health and Safety: Manages Worker's Compensation, leave of absences, ADA, FMLA, accidents, investigations, safety program and conflict resolutions. Addresses workplace safety and health issues. Plans safety training events. Coordinates and carries out wellness events.
Stays current of market conditions, anticipated trends, and contributes to the continual development of policies and procedures.
Ensures HR objectives are in line with the business strategy.
Supervision
Supervises Administrative Assistant and others as directed by Senior Management
Education
Bachelor of Science in Human Resources, Management, or related field
Experience
Minimum 5 years in Human Resources or related field. Office Management experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications. Experience in Architectural, Engineering, and Construction industry preferred.
