POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the HR department, assisting with tasks related to recruitment, onboarding, employee safety, employee relations, benefits administration, and HRIS management. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Recruiting
- Posting job openings on various platforms.
- Screening resumes and applications.
- Scheduling interviews.
- Assisting with background checks and reference checks.
- Tracking recruitment metrics.
- Onboarding:
- Preparing new hire paperwork and ensuring completion.
- Conducting new employee orientations.
- Setting up employee profiles in the HRIS.
- Coordinating with IT and other departments for new hire setup.
- Employee Safety
- Identifying and assessing hazards.
- Assists in developing and implementing safety procedures.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting safety awareness.
- Investigating accidents and incidents.
- Employee Relations:
- Assisting with employee inquiries and requests.
- Maintaining employee records and ensuring accuracy.
- Supporting HR initiatives and programs.
- Taking notes during employee relations meetings.
- Benefits Administration:
- Assisting with benefits enrollment and changes.
- Communicating benefits information to employees.
- Processing benefits paperwork.
- Reconciling benefits invoices.
- HRIS Management:
- Maintaining employee data in the HRIS.
- Generating reports from the HRIS.
- Assisting with HRIS updates and implementations.
- Administrative Support:
- Managing HR department calendars and schedules.
- Preparing and distributing HR-related documents.
- Handling confidential information with discretion.
- Ordering office supplies and maintaining HR office organization.
- Answering phone calls and emails, and directing inquiries appropriately.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Bilingual in Spanish is required.
· 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources or administrative support required.
· Knowledge of HR principles and practices a plus.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
· Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Proactive and results-oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
· Experience with HRIS systems preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
