What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at Eco Lips Inc?
Entry level position in the Quality Control department at an FDA inspected cosmetic and OTC drug manufacturing facility. Primary roles will be focused on Quality Control, Document Control, and Data Entry plus additional basic quality assurance functions in support of the Quality Management team. Primary responsibilities:
- Document control and retention:
- Scan, image, upload, and maintain documents in accordance with good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
- Receive and process requests for current documents, new document requests, and document revisions.
- Assist other departments with organizing, filing, scanning, and archiving documents such as cleaning and maintenance logs, batch records, supplier documents.
- Link documents to affected products, documents, processes
- Assist with document flow through the creation, revision, approval, distribution, and training process.
- Assist with contacting suppliers and subcontractors to request required documents and certifications used to evaluate or qualify them.
- Assist with organization of production, packaging/fulfillment, and labeling documents
- Data entry:
- Transfer data from batch records, reports, lab results, etc. into computer database systems.
- Basic Quality Assurance Duties:
- Assist with the review of documents for accuracy, completeness, and conformance with standard operating procedures and good documentation practices.
- Perform line clearance verifications on production and packaging lines.
- Assist with basic documentation functions in the Quality Management System and initiating reports such as non-conformances, corrective/preventive actions, and customer feedback.
- Assist with sample retention activities including the organizing, storage, and logging of retain samples.
- Basic Quality Control Duties:
- Assist with carrying out Quality Control sampling and testing of raw materials, components, in-process materials, and finished goods.
- Perform Quality Control laboratory functions including operation, cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Assist with basic documentation functions in the Quality Management System and initiating reports such as non-conformances, corrective/preventive actions, and customer feedback.
- Assist with investigation of out-of-specification results
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Highly organized and manage time well
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and adjust as needed in a fast-paced environment
- Good at troubleshooting
- Capable of working in a fast-paced deadline-driven work environment
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
- Basic laboratory skills
- Self-directed
- Ability to work independently
