I. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical plant, and in fabricating repair parts and tools by performing the following duties.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties oft this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to extreme heat. The employee occasionally works in high precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in this work environment is usually very loud. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.

II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs workers engaged in performing structural repairs to physical plant, and the repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery and equipment. Directs workers in the dismantling, assembly, and installation of industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Assists workers in the diagnosis and repair and calibration of machinery and production equipment. Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Provides specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assigns duties. Inspects completed work for conformance with blueprints, specifications, and standards.
- Reviews production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Maintains time and production records. Initiates plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Communicates company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
- Complies with all environmental, health, safety and housekeeping programs.

- Excellent interpersonal communications skills; verbal and written
- Minimum 5 years industrial experience or 2 years technical schooling and 3 years industrial experience
- Computer literate
- Environmental training applicable to the job
- Safety training for applicable equipment

- ISO 14001 awareness, EMS objectives and targets, plant significant environmental impacts
