I. Position DescriptionThe function of this position is to verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments and to prepare items for shipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to extreme heat. The employee occasionally works in high precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in some areas of the work environment requires ear protection. Employee must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures incoming and outgoing shipments to verify bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
- Performs computer data entry of shipping and receiving information.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Confers with various purchasing departments to resolve incoming and outgoing shipment discrepancies.
- Complies with all environmental, health, safety, and housekeeping programs.
- Master understanding of SAP.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Math background
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills; verbal and written.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word,
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in administration, preferably S&R.
- Environmental training applicable to the job
- Safety training for applicable equipment
- Job instructional training
- Quality system familiarization
- EMS ISO 14001, 9001, and 45001 awareness, Plant EMS objectives and targets.
- Significant environmental air aspects and impacts.
- DOT/Manifest Training
- UST Awareness
