What are the responsibilities and job description for the Demand Planner position at ECOLAB?
Nalco, an Ecolab Company has an immediate need for a Raw Material Planner in our Planning group located at our Fresno, TX plant reporting into the Fresno Planning Manager.
The Raw Material Planner is responsible for timely planning of production, packaging, and procurement of materials for various assigned MRP areas within the plant. The successful candidate will be required to optimize, track exceptions (as well as recommend changes toward improvement) and use best judgments, while building production schedules and raw material purchase plans. This same individual must be capable of multi-tasking many priorities at one time, with a focus on defined KPI's (key performance indicators) and inventory accuracy.

What You Will Do:
- Establish daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to maintain customer service levels, minimize production cost, and optimize product sequencing.
- Purchase raw materials efficiently and effectively to balance inventory levels with production needs.
- Purchase finished goods from outside suppliers as well as internal sister plants based on optimal shipping points to meet customer needs.
- Exhibit safe work habits to ensure a safe working environment and comply with company safety regulations and guidelines.
- Utilize timely and effective communication of delays in production or procurement that may result in late orders.
- Provide daily updates to advise both internal and external personnel, regarding Open Order status exceptions, identifying appropriate re-planning and/or recommended courses of action to minimize these non-conformances; utilize Proactive report toward verifying achievement.
- Achievement of desired KPIs (SS Levels, Proper Order Coding, SIFOT/DIFOT, Schedule Adherence, etc.) based upon responsible MRP's.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, or a related discipline
- 1 year of relevant company or planning experience.
- Proficiency with common ERP and planning/materials management/procurement systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Outlook and Excel
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of relevant experience Supply Chain Planning experience
- Previous plant/manufacturing experience
- SAP literate in Planning and Materials Management
- A track record of successfully delivery to KPIs and business objectives
- Strong leadership, analytical, and critical thinking skills to drive decisions and build consensus among stakeholders.
- APICS Certification preferred.
