About the Role
This position is responsible for operating and maintaining packaging equipment, as well as ensuring that production lines are set up correctly according to specifications. You will also be responsible for reviewing filling and packaging instructions, identifying opportunities for system and process waste elimination, and actively participating in Kaizens and 5S initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain packaging equipment, including filler, sleeve labeler, cappers, tape machine, bar coders, ink jet printer, hand wrenches, hand stamps, palletizers, and lid presses.
- Ensure that production lines are set up correctly according to specifications.
- Review filling and packaging instructions at beginning of line runs.
- Identify opportunities for system and process waste elimination.
- Actively participate in Kaizens and 5S initiatives.
- Continuously monitor and improve productivity and quality metrics.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
