We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EDI Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As an EDI Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes within our organization. Your role will involve implementing and maintaining EDI systems, ensuring seamless communication between internal departments and external trading partners, and resolving any EDI-related issues promptly. The ideal candidate should possess excellent technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for streamlining business operations through efficient data exchange methods.
Key Responsibilities:
EDI System Implementation: Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to implement new EDI systems or enhance existing ones. Evaluate EDI requirements and recommend appropriate solutions to support efficient data exchange.
EDI Setup and Configuration: Configure and maintain EDI connections with external trading partners, ensuring that data is accurately transmitted and received. Establish communication protocols and data mapping rules for various document types.
EDI Compliance and Standards: Stay up-to-date with industry standards and EDI protocols. Ensure compliance with relevant EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, etc., as well as specific requirements from trading partners.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor EDI transactions, identify and resolve issues or errors promptly to minimize disruptions to business processes. Troubleshoot EDI-related problems and work with internal teams and external partners to implement solutions.
Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing of EDI processes to validate accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards. Collaborate with trading partners to perform EDI testing and resolve any discrepancies.
Data Mapping and Translation: Develop and maintain EDI maps, ensuring proper translation of data between EDI formats and internal systems. Work closely with business analysts and data teams to ensure data integrity.
EDI Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of EDI processes, guidelines, and configurations. Train internal staff on EDI procedures and best practices.
EDI Process Improvement: Continuously review EDI workflows and identify opportunities for optimization and automation. Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and confidentiality of EDI data. Implement measures to safeguard sensitive information and comply with data protection regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an EDI Coordinator or similar role, with a strong understanding of EDI concepts and protocols.
- Familiarity with EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, etc.
- Experience in configuring and managing EDI systems and communication protocols.
- Proficiency in data mapping and translation between various EDI formats and internal systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations related to EDI.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and business processes is a plus.
