We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Construction Project Manager Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis for a duration of 2 years.
This role will support the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion, working closely with the project manager.
The opportunity to transition to a different department within the organization based on your skills and interests exists upon project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the project manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, track expenses, and report on key metrics to the project manager and stakeholders.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is being performed according to specifications and safety standards.
- Translate in English/Korean and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and project teams.
- Assist in resolving project-related issues and conflicts in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide administrative support to the project manager, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining project files.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt, with the goal of transitioning to a different department within the organization at the conclusion of the construction project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a construction-related role preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be bilingual in both Korean and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
