Position: IT Technician
Compensation: $22-28/HR DOE

EcoPoint Inc. is seeking a full-time IT Technician to join our growing GIS & Technology team. This role is highly autonomous and primarily focused on IT systems administration, with occasional support for GIS infrastructure. Our GIS work heavily leverages Esri products and supports clients in the oil and gas and environmental services industries. We are looking for individuals with a passion for learning and a desire to continuously refine their technical skills. The ideal candidate is proficient in IT systems administration and enthusiastic about driving improvements within our technology department. Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position, with the specific terms of the hybrid work arrangement being negotiable. Due to the hands-on nature of IT work, an average of 2-3 days per week may need to be spent in the Windsor, CO office, with occasional travel to the Rifle, CO and Utah offices.
Responsibilities
- User & Device Management – Setting up and managing employee accounts, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Network & Systems Administration – Supporting IT infrastructure, including networking, VPNs, cloud-based services, and system troubleshooting.
- Security & Compliance – Enforcing company IT policies, managing security updates, and assisting with access control and cybersecurity best practices.
- Technical Support & Training – Providing helpdesk support for internal users on GIS tools, software, and IT systems.
- Automation & IT Workflow Optimization – Collaborating with the technology team to automate user onboarding, software deployments, and routine IT tasks using scripting (Python, Command Line) and workflow automation tools (Make.com, n8n, AWS Lambda).
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in IT setup and support, including hardware, software, user accounts, and network troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to pass initial and random drug/alcohol tests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, GIS, or a related field.
- Experience managing IT infrastructure (AWS, Active Directory, VPNs, cloud-based services).
- AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, or AWS Developer).
- Familiarity with the oil and gas or environmental science industries.
- Experience with Python scripting for process automation.
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and related GIS infrastructure.
