Pay: Starting from $24/hr and up, based on experience
Summary: The primary responsibility of the Accounting Clerk position is to manage billing, collections, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations while maintaining accurate financial records.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management:
Generate and send out invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy in billing.
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Process customer payments and reconcile discrepancies.
Payroll Processing:
Prepare and process certified payroll reports in compliance with prevailing wage laws.
Ensure accuracy in timekeeping and wage calculations for projects.
Record Keeping:
Maintain comprehensive financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payment histories.
Assist with data entry and reconciliation of accounts.
Compliance Monitoring:
Stay updated on federal and state regulations regarding prevailing wages, labor compliance, and accounts receivable.
Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to receivables.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers and sales teams to ensure compliance with contract terms and resolve billing issues.
Provide support to the accounting team as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or commensuration years of experience.
Experience:
5 years of experience in accounts receivable and general accounting.
Proven experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage regulations in California.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of labor laws and regulations in California preferred.
Salary : $24
