ECPI University is looking for an experienced software developer with solid experience in .NET and MS SQL. Your key role will be to create, shape, and roll out sophisticated software and Web based solutions. Additionally, you should be adept at understanding business needs, even when they're not technically expressed, and turning them into practical, user-friendly applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable, high-quality software solutions using .NET framework and MS SQL Server.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient database interactions using Entity Framework, ensuring optimized performance and integration with .NET applications.
  • Optimize existing software for improved efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate .NET applications with other systems.
  • Analyze system requirements and prioritize tasks.
  • Utilize and write effective APIs.
  • Test and debug various .NET applications.
  • Review and refactor code.
  • Document development and operational procedures.
  • Provide technical support for web, desktop, or mobile applications.
  • All other assigned duties and responsibilities

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Four-year college degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant combination of training and comparable work experience.
  • 4 Years work experience in the field. 

Skills/Abilities

  • Experience with commonly used programming Design concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns (e.g., Model-View-Controller (MVC), APIs (REST)).
  • Experience using C#, HTML5/CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Experience using User Interface design using Bootstrap
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Additional certifications in .NET and MS SQL Server are a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft TFS or other versioning control systems.
