ECS is seeking a Configuration Management / Technical Publications Drafting Manager to work in our Norman, OK office.
Responsibilities :
Serve as Advisor in the areas of strategic planning, and delivery of technical solutions and business processes.
Manage client expectations and seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction.
Anticipate risks and issues and collaborate with the customer and ECS leadership to develop mitigation plans.
Develop and implement business strategies and solution roadmaps using the customer's preferred project management software.
Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by iteratively prioritizing and enhancing products, services, and processes.
Identify skillsets needed to support the client portfolio, and work with ECS leadership to fulfill short-term needs to strategically grow team resources.
Manage multiple projects and support staff using the customer's preferred project management software.
Ensure all project taskings are completed effectively and efficiently.
Communicate updates to USPS stakeholders and forums.
Assure quality control programs are in place and consistent on all programs assigned.
Provide appropriate supervision and guidance to subordinate staff.
Work with ECS senior leadership to plan for and execute high-priority programs and projects, including project management and coordination support.
Provide support for high-visibility strategic programs including developing and maintaining Project Management schedules, dashboards, and reports.
Ensure work task assignments are aligned with customer expectations.
Ensure contract hours and expenses are billed to the appropriate project funding, and the planned deliverables from estimating program costs are completed with corresponding project funds.
Requirements :
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green-Card Holder to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant work experience with technical project management and 10 years of overall work experience (any additional years of experience can substitute for degree)
Oversee the planning and implementation of the Configuration Management / Technical Publications Drafting Department to meet the client's vision and goals.
Demonstrated knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management.
Ability to understand the client's vision, mission, and goals and synthesize organizational capabilities and gaps. Leverage understanding to develop and drive clear, integrated and unifying frameworks for action and decisions involving businesses and mission focus.
Experience leading, managing, supervising, and guiding diverse team(s) of technical, functional, and creative subject matter experts in delivering mission value, improving culture, and driving results for customers and staff alike.
Demonstrated ability to understand, resolve and communicate technical and business issues.
Demonstrated ability to perform as a Change Implementation Leader.
Experience developing, maintaining, and implementing Configuration Management process standards, plans, and procedures.
Experience developing, maintaining, and implementing Technical Publications Drafting process standards, plans, and procedures.
Experience developing and maintaining technical manuals and technical manufacturing documentation.
Ability to function effectively in an energetic, fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent systems of organization, focus, and attention to detail.
Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to build, grow, and maintain strong relationships with customers, peers, leadership, and teams.
Demonstrated ability to champion automation tools to streamline work processes.
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite to include MS Project. Excel skills are a priority.
