What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Specialist position at ECS Federal, LLC?
ECS is seeking a Network Specialist to work in our Fort Rucker, AL office.
DOSNet is integrated with Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming simulators, to create a full and robust collective training environment. Simulators preform the role of the flight line and aircraft being operated within the virtual environment.
- The contractor shall design, Implement and Administer Windows domain services on the DOSNET.
- The contractor will manage host clusters using ESXi hypervisor and VCenter.
- The contractor will maintain the virtualized mission command servers and applications utilized on the DOS Network to provide better fault tolerance.
- The contractor shall update and implemented a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) using detailed documentation and off-site backups.
- The contractor will have experience with Unix/Linux System Administration and Operating Systems to include Red Hat, Suse, and Photon OS.
- The contractor shall maintain network infrastructure for C2/C4 and simulations systems with multiple subnets, Virtual LAN (VLAN) technology.
- The contractor shall maintain DOSNET firewall.
- The contractor will maintain and deploy computer images using the latest Windows 10 Secure Host Baseline (SHB).
- The contractor will complete required documentation and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG's) for Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation.
- The contractor will review all new requests and changes proposed to see if they meet information assurance regulations through the use of DISA STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides).
- The contractor shall comply with all local information assurance polices, Department of the Army, Department of Defense Directives, Cyber Workforce Policies and References.
- The contractor will ensure all software is properly updated, licensed and inventoried.
- The contractor will work with the DOS Government staff to identify lifecycle replacement requirements for equipment on the DOSNET.
- The contractor will administer HBSS (Host Based Security System).
- The contractor will administer Storage Area Network (SAN) equipment, maintain the Fiber Channel Switching network connected to Storage Area Networks (SANs).
- The contractor will maintain Openfire Chat Server.
- The contractor shall administer a local internet website using SharePoint and Internet Information Services (IIS).
- The contractor will administer/manage the SQL database.
- The contractor will administer Microsoft Server 2012r2/2016, manage user accounts, group policy, printer services, VM Ware.
- The contractor shall provide fast response times for end user support on Windows 7/10 to minimize downtime in training of the warfighter.
- Must have a current secret clearance to meet contract requirements
- Must have the Security Plus Certification
- 2 years of experience
- An active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain
- Security Plus Certification
- Experience with Windows implementations
- Experience with Unix/Linux System Administration
- Experience with network configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring and support
