Job Description:
The Logistics Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of our warehouse in Massachusetts, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of telecommunications cable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee scheduling activities for all logistics processes
- BUILD and maintain positive relationships with vendor partners and customers
- Supervise and train warehouse staff on job protocols and ensure strict adherence
- Track and document service providers' performance and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and manage operational KPIs to monitor performance and drive strategies for continuous improvement
- Ensure all service commitments are met, including quantity, quality, and timing
- Manage inventory and associated documentation, implementing strict security protocols to protect cable at all stages of custody
- Schedule and consolidate outbound deliveries to achieve lowest possible transportation costs
- Inform management on status of operational performance and ongoing issues
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure appropriate safeguarding of equipment and cable
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience
- Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize and supervise multiple projects
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and pull heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds and complete physical fitness test
