About ECU Health Chowan Hospital
ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton is a 25-bed critical access hospital which provides programs and services to 110,000 people in 6 counties. The facility offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic and a dedicated outpatient surgery area with endoscopy capabilities. A 7-bed emergency department serves approximately 15,000 patients per year and team members at the facility have access to a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
Position Summary
The Mgr, Education will serve an essential role as a teacher, trainer, mentor, and role model for employees. The Manager will combine passion for teaching and clinical expertise with outstanding leadership abilities to effectively oversee the educational requirements. The manager will also ensure appropriate systems are in place to meet Joint Commission and other regulatory agency standards.
Minimum Requirements
Current North Carolina RN license.
Master's degree in Nursing Education required.
Certification in Nursing Professional Development required.
Three to five years of health care experience, plus experience teaching adults
Other Information
- Full-time position with benefits.
- Shift: Days, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
- Requires Administration on/call shifts 1 week at a time approximately every 10 weeks.
- Will require some educational rounding in evening and weekend hours.
