Position Summary
The Community Health Engagement Coordinator plans, organizes, performs, directs, and evaluates community health activities for the service area of the ECU Health Community Hospital. Community health activities are directly related to the hospital's community health implementation plan, which addresses priority health needs identified in the community health assessment. The coordinator works with the health department, schools, churches, businesses, civic organizations and other groups in providing activities that encourage a healthy lifestyle and improved health in the community. Activities include but are not limited to free screenings, education sessions, health fairs, including education, employment, workforce development, economic vitality, and neighborhood safety and health outcomes. The Community Health Engagement Coordinator will advance health equity, support diverse and socially vulnerable people with internal and external partners such as on collaborative community-based projects that cover.
Minimum Requirements
High school or equivalent.
Associate degree preferred.
0 To 2 Years Of Relevant Healthcare Experience Required.
Clear evidence of an ability to engage a diverse array of community stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage, teach, make independent decisions and assume responsibility.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of staff.
Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Other Information
Full time with benefits - 40 hours per week
Day shift: weekdays, 8am-5pm; 2 Weekends per month - OCCASIONAL EVENINGS
