Compensation: $43,000-$56,000 (Base Incentive)
Summary of Major Functions:
Respond to inquiries regarding treatment programs at EDCare and assess the appropriate level of care and service needed. Ensure that admission process is effective, efficient, and clinically sound.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responds to inquiries within 24 hours of initial contact (in person, phone, email or web).
- Presents EDCare program information (all levels of care) in a comprehensive, ethical and inviting manner.
- Weekly consultation with Program Manager for case conceptualization of pending admissions.
- Facilitates weekly admissions meeting providing up to date information about potential patients.
- Maintains relationships with community providers and referral agents.
- Interfaces with financial department to ensure admission and payment.
- Demonstrates ability to provide comprehensive clinical assessment resulting in recommendation for appropriate level of care.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and practice of clinical interviewing skills.
- Demonstrates ability to build rapport resulting in converting inquires to assessments and outpatient appointments.
- Makes referrals to providers/resources as indicated, including Psychiatrist, Nutritionist, PCP, Family Therapist, groups, etc.
- Timely completion and accuracy of initial paperwork: requests for benefits, inquiry forms, and intake activity sheet.
- Conducts pre-certification in timely and effective fashion to ensure payment.
- Completes referral tracking forms in a timely fashion.
- Coordinate admission by creating schedule and informing staff.
- Orients new patients to Program according to guidelines.
- Acts as a team with the finance department in facilitating admissions and troubleshooting insurance concerns.
- Demonstrates personable and competent communication skills via telephone, email and in person.
- Demonstrates consistent knowledge of potential patients and current census totals.
- Schedules patients appropriately in EMR system and collects and provides information necessary to billing staff to ensure effective workflow processes.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health Field required, Master’s Degree preferred.
- CPR Certification within 90 days of hire required.
- Experience conducting clinical assessments preferred.
- Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills preferred.
Computer Skills:
- Must be able to effectively maneuver within an office scheduling system.
- Minimum of intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be able to efficiently learn and effectively work within an electronic medical records system.

Physical demands of this job include but are NOT limited to:
Sitting frequently, standing occasionally, walking occasionally, talking constantly, hearing constantly, seeing constantly, reaching with arms and hands occasionally, crouching occasionally and using fingers intricately. This position requires lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds occasionally.
Environmental conditions of this job include but are NOT limited to:
99% inside, 99% normal temperature and 99% normal noise as expected in a medical office environment.
