Overview: We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our Foodservice team as the Director of National Accounts, responsible for driving growth in our national distribution channels. Reporting directly to the VP of Foodservice, you will execute key business strategies and serve as the primary point of contact between our company and major accounts, working through both direct and broker sales channels. Your role will be pivotal in expanding our customer base and meeting established sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and growth of our National Accounts, acting as the key contact between Eddy Foods' leadership and national customers to drive long-term, strategic partnerships
- Create and implement strategic account plans designed to meet company objectives and sales targets, with a focus on expanding into new accounts
- Manage all aspects of account relationships, including product development collaboration, customer service, quality assurance, demand forecasting, and pricing
- Maintain an up-to-date and accurate customer database, providing weekly updates on account activity and progress
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in foodservice sales or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in protein sales is preferred, with a proven track record of success in securing and growing national accounts
- Strong existing relationships with key national accounts and a demonstrated ability to close deals
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to travel frequently, including overnight trips, spending approximately 50-75% of the time visiting plant facilities and market areas
