What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Driver position at Eddy Foods?
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count product. The operator is accountable for safe and efficient operation of the vehicle, maintain cleanliness and order and may also be required to perform related warehousing activities.
Essential Functions:
Must have experience in operating both stand up and sit-down forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Must have the ability to stand for long period of time and be able to work in cold weather atmosphere. Must be medically qualified to operate warehouse equipment.
Education / Skills / Experience
· Should have High School or GED degree
· Must be able to read and write
· Required: Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Must be able to climb and work in elevated areas.
- Must demonstrate the ability to operate equipment used in work area
- Capable of understanding the flow of product in and out of the warehouse including receiving and shipping
- Capable of applications with basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages).
- Must be able to work well with others and be a team player.
- Must be able to work weekends.
- Must be able to communicate and interface with management as well as other personnel.
- Must maintain an excellent attendance record.
- Must be able to perform all other task required by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Pay: $15.85 - $17.62 per hour
