Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled PLC/Electrical Technician to join our team in Houston. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with wiring and troubleshooting electrical control panels, proficiency in PLC programming and diagnostics, and ideally, experience with pump control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Panel Work:
- Assemble, wire, and troubleshoot electrical control panels based on schematics and technical drawings.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.
PLC Programming and Troubleshooting:
- Program, configure, and maintain PLC systems (preferably Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
- Diagnose and resolve PLC-related issues to minimize downtime.
Pump Control Systems:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot pump control systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance.
Technical Support:
- Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to clients and internal teams.
- Conduct system startups, testing, and commissioning.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including schematics, program changes, and service reports.
- Develop and update technical manuals and documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field. Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in wiring and troubleshooting electrical control panels.
- Proven experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with pump control systems is highly desirable.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with HMI interfaces and SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and motor control circuits.
- Competent in using electrical testing equipment and tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
