What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nurse position at Eden Central School?
Eden Central School is seeking a full-time nurse (RN) to work with our approximately 120 preschool through sixth grade students.
Duties include:
Treating sick and/or injured children;
Documenting all nurse/student contact in our Infinite Campus database system;
Teaching health classes to grades 4-6 to focus on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, wellness, and puberty;
Communicating with parents and caregivers regarding health-related issues;
Serving as part of the student support team;
Case managing 504 plans where the primary disability is medically related.
Successful candidate must hold a degree from a nursing program accredited by the National League of Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, a valid license as a registered nurse in Vermont, and possess or be eligible for a Vermont Agency of Education School Nurse (3-65) or Associate School Nurse (3-65A) endorsement.
