Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Unit Clerk to join our team! The Unit Clerk plays a vital role in supporting our nursing staff by handling clerical responsibilities, coordinating activities at the unit nurses' station, and maintaining accurate medical records. This position requires strong communication and multitasking skills to ensure smooth operations and quality resident care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform receptionist duties, answer phones, and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Support nursing staff with clerical tasks to ensure efficient care delivery.
- Maintain complete and organized medical records for each resident.
- Facilitate communication between residents, staff, consultants, and visitors.
- Ensure a welcoming and professional atmosphere at the nurses' station.
- Assist with scheduling, data entry, and documentation management.
- Uphold facility policies and confidentiality standards.
Requirements:
- Previous clerical or administrative experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
