What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Finance position at EdenRoc Sciences?
Metro International Biotech, an EdenRoc Sciences company, is a clinical stage pharmaceutical company that has established the most comprehensive portfolio of proprietary NAD precursors in the world. We are a small but close team of professionals committed to our common goals.
Our rapidly growing pharmaceutical division is looking for a Vice President of Finance to help lead the organization in future growth. We have interest in a potential IPO in the future. This role will guide us in the decision-making process and lead the journey.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Manage the ongoing PCAOB audit process and help perform an IPO readiness assessment
- Review and improve documentation of existing processes and financial controls
- Work with President/CSO to ensure all R&D and clinical trials are properly budgeted and maintain accruals
- Prepare of financial statements for internal review
- Assist the EdenRoc Sciences Finance team with budgeting, planning, financial due diligence and other investor requests.
Essential skills required:
- Extensive public company accounting experience
- Demonstration of hands-on involvement in successful execution of IPO.
- Proven track record of success collaborating with executive leadership to develop strategic financial plans, including acquisitions, mergers and capital-raising initiatives
- Risk management, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks
- Experience with complex capital structures such as PIUs and SAFEs
- Proficiency in financial software/tools, Intacct preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance
Minimum Requirements:
- Business or Accounting degree required, masters, CPA or similar certification
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior management role at pharmaceutical or similar high-tech, organization
- Public company and IPO experience preferred
- Strong communication and analytical skills

This is an on-site position based in Worcester, MA. Priority will be given to local candidates.
