Job Description:

The Confirmations Analyst will focus on managing the process of analyzing, validating and timely submission (reporting) of financial trades to a Swap Data Repository for all international and domestic financial trades for EDF Trading North America.

Responsibilities:

• This position will be responsible processing, coordination, and the timely submission of trades to a Swap Data Repository on behalf of EDF, troubleshooting those that fail as well as performing related auditing and reporting tasks for management.
• Research any reporting issues that arise.
• Attend industry update meetings to stay up to date on system changes and regulations that affect Swap Reporting.
• Liaise with Front Office, Commercial, Legal and Compliance for life cycle events, i.e., novations, terminations, etc.
• Liaise with the Front Office, Legal, Compliance and Commercial groups on resolution of all deal entry errors and counterparty disputes.
• Ensure all required documentation is stored properly to be in compliance with CFTC regulations and current business document retention policies.
• Provide data collection and reporting assistance during internal and external Compliance audits.
• Reconcile reportable trades between Swap Data Repository and the trade capture system to monitor possible duplicate reporting or non-reporting of required trades.
• Ensure timely and professional processing, coordination, and execution of confirmations with appropriate counterparties based on EDF business policies.
• Review confirms returned/originated by counterparties for modifications/discrepancies requiring follow-up.
• Ensure confirmations are returned and signed by counterparties in a timely manner.
• Interact professionally and confidently with all internal and external customers.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
• Minimum of 3 years prior experience in Compliance, Contracts and/or Confirmations in the energy marketing industry.
• Understanding and management of CFTC Data Reporting to a Swap Data Repository.
• Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Strong fundamental MS Office Suite skills
