Job Summary
This position provides project management support services and expertise for projects on Transmission and Distribution systems within the Electric Utility Industry. This position implements and coordinates programs to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, and financial losses.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide professional support to the Project Manager;
- Support in creating project budgets and cost forecasts;
- Compile project deliverables;
- Conduct site and field visits in accordance with each scope;
- Participate project conference calls;
- Reconcile active and retired corporate assets in the client’s software.
- Associates degree in a business-related discipline required, Bachelors’ degree preferred;
- Ten (10) years of experience supporting business/management operations and financial reporting in the Transmission or Distribution industry;
- An additional five (5) years’ experience (in addition to the basic requirement) in a support role for an operating company in the transmission and distribution industry may be accepted in lieu of formal education degrees.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office; proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Work is conducted within an office with periodic site visits within the LA, MS, AR area
- Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection;
- May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
- Must be able to lift and carry twenty (20) pounds;
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively;
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation;
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodations, which permits employee to conduct analysis and investigations;
- Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permit the employee to perform routine office duties;
