We are seeking a detail-oriented Certified Welder Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) on welds to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Review and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and technical specifications.
- Document and report findings of weld inspections, noting any deviations or defects.
- Verify the quality, alignment, and appearance of welds in various positions and materials.
- Work closely with welders and production teams to address issues and ensure corrections are made promptly.
- Maintain thorough records of inspections, reports, and certifications.
- Ensure all welding activities are performed in compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in welding and/or welding inspection.
- Certification in weld inspection (such as CWI or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and defect analysis.
- Familiarity with NDT methods (ultrasonic, magnetic particle, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret welding codes, standards, and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with welders and production teams.
