We are seeking a skilled Structural Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and assembly, with the ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. This role requires proficiency in various fitting techniques and the use of power tools, ensuring that all components meet industry standards and specifications. The Fitter will play a crucial role in the production process, contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of our operations.
Structural Fitter Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to fabricate components.
- Utilize power tools and machinery, including press brake machines, to shape and assemble materials.
- Perform welding tasks using stick welding techniques as required.
- Fabricate ductwork and other metal components according to specifications.
- Ensure all fittings comply with relevant codes and standards for safety and quality.
- Conduct routine inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during the fitting process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Structural Fitter Qualifications
- Proven experience in fitting, machining, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of power tools and their safe operation.
- Familiarity with welding techniques, particularly stick welding.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents accurately.
- Experience with ductwork fabrication is a plus.
- Understanding of codes and standards related to fitting processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
