What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interim Manager/Senior Manager, Accounting (Biotech Experience Required) position at EDGE PURSUIT?
Edge Pursuit is seeking an experienced Manager / Senior Manager level resource to fill an operational accounting role on an interim basis. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned operational accountant with public accounting and / or experience working in a public company. Local candidates (San Francisco Bay Area) with experience in life sciences / biotech industry are highly preferred.
Other desired qualifications / competence :
- 7 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- Public company and / or public accounting experience preferred
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in accounting operations and GL close procedures required with a knack for driving process improvement initiatives (this role will manage all accounting operations, incl. month-end close, accruals (incl. clinical accruals), prepaids, etc.)
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages
- Ability to explain and articulate complex financial and technical accounting concepts
- SOX 404 working experience
- Understanding of and prior experience working with clinical accruals a plus
- CPA, a plus
