Our client is a PE-backed Gov Con in growth mode, seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This role will report into the Controller. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity hybrid in Baltimore, MD. Degree in Accounting / Finance field is required.
Responsibilities :
- Process and manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
- Handle billing processes, including generating and reviewing invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accurate financial records.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline and improve accounting processes and procedures.
- Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations.
- Provide support for special projects as assigned by the Controller or leadership team.
