Sr. UI/UX Designer Only Local to OHIO

Job Overview:

Seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer with expertise in designing, prototyping, and front-end development using HTML, Bootstrap, Fluent UI, CSS, and JavaScript for cloud-based, mobile, and desktop applications. The consultant will collaborate with business users, IT teams, and stakeholders to create intuitive user interfaces while maintaining a user-centered design approach.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze UI requirements by participating in stakeholder and engineering meetings.
• Design wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user-friendly interfaces for complex business processes.
• Work across all product development stages, from discovery to research and interface design.
• Conduct user research and testing to validate design concepts and improve usability.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to brainstorm and refine design solutions.
• Develop and maintain a Design System Library for reusability.
• Ensure seamless UI handoff to development teams.
• Adhere to best practices and security requirements in UI/UX designs.
• Work with backend developers to integrate front-end components.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming, to support development teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team.
• Communicate design ideas effectively across stakeholders, fostering collaboration and consensus.
• Manage multiple design initiatives, balancing priorities with product and engineering teams.

Mandatory Requirements:

• 8 years of experience designing graphical user interfaces based on UI requirements.
• Strong understanding of site architecture, intuitive UI, and navigation design.
• 5 years of experience with Figma and ability to adapt to new design tools.
• 8 years of experience with HTML, Bootstrap, Fluent UI, CSS, and JavaScript.
• 5 years of experience delivering end-to-end products as part of a cross-functional team.
• Exposure to C# and secure UI design for MVC applications.
• 8 years of experience in Agile development methodologies.

Desired Skills:

• UI/UX certification preferred.
• Experience in designing native and cross-platform desktop/mobile apps.
• Hands-on experience with Core MVC applications.
• Expertise in creating workflow diagrams and detailed user journey maps.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
