What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Highway / Civil Estimator position at Edgeboro International, Inc.?
Edgeboro International, Inc. is seeking to hire a motivated and experienced full-time civil project estimator. Our scope of work primarily includes but is not limited to :
- Assist in the day to day estimating operations
- Knowledge of and ability to read civil, storm, water, and earthwork drawings, and perform accurate quantity take offs
- Solicit vendors for pricing and quotes on various quantities / materials
- Create bid folders
- Attend pre-bid meetings
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Review on-line sites and websites for bid opportunities
- Work closely with clients / contractors and third-party providers in development of a project
- Generate RFIs for project clarification and or requirements
- Prepare bid proposals and submittals for follow up
- Maintain organization of project information
REQUIREMENTS
To be an ideal candidate you must be a dependable self-starter, able to work both independently and alongside others. A sense of urgency and ability to prioritize is crucial. You must be able to clearly communicate with both clients and fellow co-workers to retain repeat business and effectively increase project opportunities.
EII expects our project estimator to develop and maintain all resource information, including vendors, products, contractors, labor, equipment and Local, State and Federal documentation. Bidding information should be kept orderly and accessible. This is a good growth opportunity.
