The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will be a vital member of the leadership team of the North American division of Edged Data Centers. We are looking for someone who is a strategic and detail-oriented individual to build and lead our financial planning, budgeting, and analysis efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of financial forecasting. This role involves developing budgets at both the SG&A and Operational levels, managing performance reporting and forecasting, financial models, and providing insights to support our company's strategic initiatives.

The United States targeted base salary pay range for this position is: $155,000 - $200,000 bonus (this range will vary by location)

Key Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- Oversee and lead the strategic development of comprehensive financial plans and budgets, performing variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks across the business.
- Coordinate cross functional collaboration with different teams to gather relevant financial information and ensure alignment with financial plans.
- Develop and implement robust budgeting, forecasting procedures as well as relevant management reporting to support decision making.
- Lead financial modeling efforts to develop short and long-term operational forecasts.
- Deliver presentations on financial forecasts and budgets to the executive team.
- Analyze financial data and market trends to identify business opportunities and cost savings.
- Assist with the development of monthly and quarterly reporting packages for executive management and the Board.
- Develop and implement financial systems and procedures to improve efficiency, support decision support, and provide real time business performance insights.
- Review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage compliance reporting.
- Provide strategic financial counsel to senior management on business initiatives, capital allocation decisions, infrastructure investments, and expansion strategies, with particular focus on optimizing returns on the capital investment to date.
- Create and maintain detailed ROI analyses for major capital expenditures across data center operations, ensuring alignment with long-term financial strategy and shareholder expectations.
- Advise management on the financial implications of business activities and strategies.
Skills & Requirements
Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, MBA, preferred
- Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or other financial certification are a plus
- 10 years of experience buildingout, maintaining, and updating sophisticated corporate-level statement, Excel-based financial models
- Self-starter with the ability to establish strong working relationships across all levels of management - equally comfortable working collaboratively and independently
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
- Experience in Data Center or related fields.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
