iuiQuicWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our growing accounting team. As an AR Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the company’s receivables, ensuring timely and accurate billing, maintaining customer accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collections: Follow up on overdue invoices through phone calls, emails, and correspondence, working closely with customers to resolve any payment issues.
- Aging Reports: Prepare and maintain accounts receivable aging reports, tracking outstanding balances and highlighting accounts that need attention.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team, sales, and other departments to ensure smooth payment processes and resolve any issues promptly.
- Invoice Creation & Management: Generate and send invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Payment Processing: Record and process incoming payments, ensuring proper application to customer accounts.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and account status.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter payment and account information into accounting systems.
- Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all accounts receivable transactions are properly recorded.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years of experience in an accounts receivable or related accounting role preferred.
- Education: Associate degree or equivalent required; a bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or related field is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks and/or Netsuite) preferred.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and concepts.
- Ability to process large volumes of transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Preferred: Experience in apparel industry or with Quickbooks and/or Netsuite.
