Our Dining Services Worker (Dietary Aide/Cook) performs the following duties to support Edgerton Hospital:
- Processes cleaning and sanitation of food preparation and food consumption utensils
- Stores clean silverware, pots, utensils, glasses, cups, and dishes
- Maintaining and promoting communication with physicians and other health care professionals, the department head and all dietary personnel
- Assists with patient and staff meal service as assigned including prep/and meal delivery of trays
- Assists as short order breakfast/lunch/dinner cook for cafe guests when needed
- Monitors and restocks nutrition stations of facility
- Operates cash register and waits on customers.
- Demonstrates I CARE value through positive customer satisfaction and problem solving.

Performs food production:
- Does not allow unsatisfactory and poor-quality food items to be served within the department.
- Monitors workstations to keep neat and sanitary.
- Ensures portion control of all items is per standard.
- Able to adjust yields and follow recipes.
- Ensures temperature of all food items is per standard.
- Participates in departmental safety by promptly removing or reporting malfunctioning equipment manager.

Participate in financial stability of department by:
- Ensuring that the production/tally sheets are completed without mistakes or shortages.
- Utilizing leftovers effectively by creating special and marketable product.
- Demonstrates a conscious attitude in daily operations through portion control and reducing waste.
