Summary:
Edgerton is seeking a drafter to work from our Monroe, CT office. The primary responsibility of this position is the coordination and layout of HVAC systems including duct work and piping for our commercial and residential clients. Prior AutoCAD MEP and field measuring experience in commercial mechanical construction including HVAC, sheet metal, piping and plumbing disciplines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Produce 2D and 3D Mechanical drawings for field installation and coordination with other sub-contractor trades.
-Participates in coordination meetings to resolve clashes while maintaining budget and constructability requirements
-Confers with project management staff to resolve issues; reviews drawings with the production and field teams and adjusts as necessary.
-Travel to various project sites as required.
-Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications: The following are required, unless otherwise noted as preferred.
-Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent. Mechanical engineering degree is preferred.
-Minimum of one year drafting experience
-Minimum of 3 years in the HVAC industry is preferred
-Understanding of related trades for coordination purposes
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Experience with AutoCAD MEP is required.
-Experience with Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, BIM Collaborate, or other model viewing/collaboration software is preferred
-Experience with HVAC, piping and duct drawings
-Knowledgeable in 3D coordination with other trades
-Is able to read architectural, structural, and mechanical plans sections, and elevations.
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
