Overview
E/BFSC is seeking a Site Coordinator to manage the daily activities of the Family Success Center serving targeted communities in Ward 5 and 7. The Family Success Center will promote resident and family well-being and improve community safety within the identified cluster, which includes Carver, Langston, and Kingman Park neighborhoods. The Family Success Center is grounded in the belief that families are fundamental to building healthy communities and recognizes the positive impact that comprehensive support can have on their overall well-being.
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Program Director, this position develops and coordinates the programs and initiatives of the Family Success Center. They conduct outreach and engagement activities with key community members and entities in order to support and strengthen families and children within the defined community. They existing traditional and non-traditional community resources; helps identify and/or create supportive networks; and enhance the community’s capacity to care for children and strengthen families.
They will be responsible for the daily management and oversight of Center, programs and activities, oversee mini-grants, partner engagement, focus groups, and community outreach activities; and supervise the Service Navigators and Program Assistant. All activities are conducted in accordance with the organization’s established policies and procedures, contract requirements, legal requirements, and best practice standards.
Responsibilities
1. Program Coordination: (i) Identify community, youth and family needs and service gaps; (ii) assist in the implementation of new programs, initiatives and/or services and provide coordination as requested to support youth and families in the community; (iii) Assist in the planning and implementation of programs and initiatives for the Success Center; (iv) Ensure the Success Center is a space that integrates and is representative of the defined community; (v) manage the daily operations of the Success Center to include administration, budget and expense management, data collection, atmosphere, programs and activities; (vi) create, manage and post content for Family Success Center social media platforms.
2. Partner Engagement: (i) Identify and cultivate relationships with community partners, businesses, and other stakeholders to support the needs of the community (ii) create formal and informal resource linkages for families and the community; (iii) provide support to strengthen existing partners and initiatives; (iv) Integrate community programs and partnerships into the Success Center; (v) assist in the coordination and integration of partner programs into Family Success Center programs.
3. Community Outreach: (i) Plan and implement a process for community conversations, focus groups and surveys to fully understand the needs of the defined community; (ii) Plan and lead the convening of the Community Advisory Committee; (iii) Ensure residents are aware of, and involved in, the planning and implementation of the Support Center and related programs and activities; (iv) organize and promote public participation and involvement by youth, residents and community stakeholders in E/BFSC and other community events and meetings.
4. Supervision: (i) Provide administrative and program supervision to assigned staff; (ii) monitor staff job performance and provide skill-building in service delivery and administrative accountability; (iii) conduct annual staff performance evaluations, plan for professional development, and initiate disciplinary actions as warranted.
5. Documentation and Reporting: (i) Maintain accurate records (paper or database) of all contacts and activities; (ii) prepare monthly and quarterly reports as directed delineating goal accomplishments and challenges; (iii) assist in the development and maintenance of quality assurance protocols and quality improvement initiatives; (iv) document supervision meetings, staff successes and challenges.
6. Training and Professional Development: (i) Identify and attend trainings and professional development activities to increase knowledge and skills relevant to this position; (ii) apply and disseminate acquired knowledge and skill sets among colleagues and families; (iii) attend supervision on a regular basis; (iv) participate in annual performance evaluation and goal- setting for professional development.
Experience and Qualifications
· Preference given to Ward 5 residents; Additional preference given to residents of the Carver, Langston or Kingman Park community
· BS or BA and minimum three (3) years of experience in a community-based setting; or a minimum of five (5) years of community experience
· Valid driver’s license, copy of driving record and proof of valid auto insurance
· Police clearance and Child Abuse Registry clearance
· Availability during evenings and weekends
· Preferred resident of defined serving area
· Health certification and TB screen
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Experience with various social media platforms
· Effective interpersonal skills
· Driving or ability to use public transportation
· Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office preferred)
· Demonstrated cultural competence and responsiveness

Pay: $61,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
