Position Summary:
As a member of our Banquet and Special Events Set-up team, you have the unique role of ensuring efficient operation of banquet functions. The set-up team, sets up and breaks down all weddings, banquets, and convention events. This position requires a flexible schedule including availability all days of the week and will report to the set-up supervisor or banquet manager. - Store and secure equipment used for banquet functions.
- Refresh room during breaks (replenish supplies, water pitchers, etc.).
- Assist servers and bartender with all set-up and breakdown of events
- Retrieve clean linen/skirting and stock in storage areas.
- Set-up and pick-up dance floor before and after function.
- Pick-up and deliver all boxes and materials for function.
- Keep convention and banquet rooms and surrounding areas clean.
- Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Qualifications / Special Skills:
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Some knowledge of banquet/catering services.
- Able to work a schedule which will include weekends, nights and holidays.
