Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the liaison between chefs and servers, ensuring accurate and timely food delivery.
- Inspect each dish for proper plating, portioning, temperature, and presentation before it leaves the kitchen.
- Ensure that all plates leaving the kitchen match the chef’s specifications in portion size, garnishing, and overall appearance.
- Monitor ticket times and prioritize dishes to maintain smooth service flow.
- Ensure courses are sent out in a timely manner and that all orders within a table are completed simultaneously.
- Address and resolve any delays, errors, or miscommunications between the front and back of the house.
- Maintain a clean and organized expediting station, following health and safety standards.
- Work closely with chefs, line cooks, and servers to maintain a smooth and efficient service flow.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
