The In Room Dining Supervisor at Edgewood Tahoe Resort provides assistance to the In Room Dining Manager throughout the daily operations as well as manages shifts to ensure company standards are preserved. Essential Functions:
- Practices Food & Beverage Edgewood standards, documented policies and procedures.
- In Room Dining Supervisor acts as quality control, ensuring customer satisfaction through training employees properly and adhering to company policy.
- Communicate pars, needs and equipment status with leadership.
- Take ownership of the department, lead, motivate and foster a team-oriented work environment.
- Work alongside and support In Room Dining team, work shifts.
- Assist with properly scheduling staff for business demands.
- Supervision of daily set – up and break down of pool and beach.
- Follows and oversees proper food handling and sanitary procedures.
- Operates and understands Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle general complaints raised.
- Communicate and resolve issues between front and back of house.
- Motivate and delegate tasks to employees and making sure they are carried out accordingly.
- Able to lead and motivate while working in a team environment.
- Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Qualifications / Special Skills:
- One year of restaurant supervisor experience preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Possess exceptional problem solving and people skills.
- Must be passionate in developing and mentoring others within the operation.
- Have confidence, self-drive and be enthusiastic while making decisions in a time pressured environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems, ex; Aloha, Micros, Info-Genesis.
- Be responsible in handling challenging situations.
- Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
